Its a shame but a truism nonetheless that people will follow where someone they see as an expert leads. Even if they lead them to certain disaster, which is what most of the gurus tend to do to their flocks. I lived on a remote tropical island for a while (2 months) and it was awesome. However, it was so remote that there was no phone, internet, running water, sewer, roads... The only way in was via a powered canoe. Now that I think about it, an island with some "civilization" would be a little more enjoyable. I agree Mike.
